TangoZero Tolerance for Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation
Tango Dating Company has zero tolerance for child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) and child sexual abuse material (CSAM). This page describes our standards and the steps we take to keep the Tango community safe.

Our Commitment
Tango is a dating service for verified adult college students. We strictly prohibit any content or behavior that sexually exploits, abuses, or endangers children.
CSAE means child sexual abuse and exploitation — including grooming a child for sexual exploitation, sextortion of a child, trafficking of a child for sex, or otherwise sexually exploiting a child. CSAM means child sexual abuse material — any visual depiction of a minor engaging in sexually explicit conduct.
Both are strictly forbidden on Tango. Any account involved in CSAE or CSAM is removed, and apparent CSAM is reported to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
How We Prevent Child Sexual Abuse & Exploitation
Child safety is built into how Tango works, from who can join to what can be shared.
Adults only, verified
Tango is exclusively for adults 18 or older. Every account is verified with a valid student email address (currently @tamu.edu), and there are no anonymous sign-ups, which makes it substantially harder for minors or bad actors to access the platform.
Content scanning
We are rolling out industry child-safety tooling to scan photos and media uploaded to Tango for known child sexual abuse material (CSAM). When this scanning flags matched or suspected content, it is quarantined and escalated for urgent human review.
One-tap in-app reporting
Any member can report a user or content for child sexual abuse or exploitation directly inside the app, without leaving it. Reports flagged as child-safety concerns are prioritized for urgent human review.
Block & remove
Members can block any user instantly. We suspend and permanently remove accounts that violate our child-safety standards, and we preserve the associated evidence for law enforcement.
How We Handle CSAM
When we detect or are told about child sexual abuse material, we act immediately.
Detect or receive a report
Through a member report, our own review, or automated scanning as we roll it out, we identify content or behavior that may involve the sexual abuse or exploitation of a minor.
Quarantine & preserve
Suspected material is immediately removed from view and preserved in a secure, access-restricted location so that it can be handled lawfully and provided to the proper authorities.
Report to NCMEC & law enforcement
When we become aware of apparent CSAM, we report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) CyberTipline and cooperate with law enforcement, as required by law.
Remove the account
We terminate the offending account and take steps to prevent the individual from returning to the platform.
How to Report a Concern
If you see something involving a minor that shouldn't be on Tango, tell us. We follow up on every report.
In the app
Open any profile or chat, tap the safety menu, choose Report, and select the child-safety reason. Child-safety reports are prioritized for urgent review.

If a child is in immediate danger, contact local law enforcement (911 in the U.S.) first. You can also report child sexual exploitation directly to the NCMEC CyberTipline at report.cybertip.org or 1-800-843-5678.
